Ready to Leave

End of August, beginning of September. I've returned home from Fordham. Visited my family in NY state. Starting to pack, buying things I need, worrying about the inevitable little inconveniences of traveling. Finished packing, for the most part. Trying to work on my Spanish (we'll see how far I actually get!). I'm apprehensive, excited, worried, elated, sad, stoked, pensive, forgetful, curious, prepared, not ready. Obviously, though, I'm looking forward to my time in Spain.

It's now the night before my departure, and my next post will be from Spain. Thinking about it, it's a long time to be away from home, to be away from Fordham, to be away from my country. It will be quite an experience, I can assure you.

I'll miss you all--it sounds much better in Spanish: either todos ustedes or todos vosotros. I wish everyone the best for the next months, and hopefully I'll speak with you soon. Wish me luck on my first time in Spain and with my first experiences with my Spanish family!

AMDG,
Antonio
